GOLDEN, Colo. (Apr. 2, 2026) – Today, Chloe Rose Castro was sentenced to 20 years to life of Sex Offender Intensive Supervision Probation (ISP), with a term of three years in community corrections to be served at Intervention Community Corrections Services (ICCS) as a condition of probation. She will also be subject to lifetime sex offender registration.

On February 2, 2026, Castro entered a guilty plea to Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust – Victim Less than 15.

Many people addressed the court at sentencing, and the Court acknowledged receiving dozens of letters from community members asking for the maximum sentence.

The prosecutor stated, “There is no sentence that I could ask for which will give the community their trust back in Jefferson County Public Schools, and there is not a sentence that will take away the trauma this child suffered.”

Castro also addressed the Court, stating she is committed to treatment and that “she will never work with children again.”

Castro was also ordered to pay $14,430 in restitution.

Castro was remanded into the custody and supervision of ICCS.

Background:

In November 2024, the Arvada Police Department arrested Castro following an investigation that began after the juvenile’s parents reported finding evidence of a sexual relationship. Castro met the victim while employed as a social worker for Jefferson County Public Schools.

Since Castro’s arrest, law enforcement has not received reports of additional criminal conduct involving other students.
