Former School Social Worker Chloe Castro Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault on a Child

GOLDEN, Colo. (Feb. 2, 2026) – Today, Chloe Rose Castro entered a guilty plea to Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust – Victim Less than 15. Castro is set to be sentenced in April.

Castro pled guilty to the following charge:

ADDED COUNT 3: Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust Victim Less Than 15, C.R.S. 18-3-405.3(1),(2)(a) (F3).

As a result of the plea, the following counts were dismissed:

COUNT 1: Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust Victim Less Than 15 and as Part of a Pattern of Abuse, C.R.S. 18-3-405.3(1),(2) (F3).
COUNT 2: Internet Luring of a Child, C.R.S. 18-3-306(1),(3) (F4).

The People made no sentencing concessions. Castro faces an indeterminate term of imprisonment of at least four years and up to life in the Department of Corrections. The Court may also impose an indeterminate period of probation of at least 20 years and up to life, pursuant to C.R.S. 18-1.3-1004(2)(a).

Castro was remanded into custody, and sentencing was set for April 2, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.

In November 2024, the Arvada Police Department arrested Castro following an investigation that began after the juvenile’s parents reported finding evidence of a sexual relationship. Castro met the victim while employed as a social worker for Jefferson County Public Schools.

Since Castro’s arrest, law enforcement has not received reports of additional criminal conduct involving other students.
