Charges filed against man involved in Lakewood cyclist death

District Attorney Alexis King announced that charges have been filed in the death of cyclist Gwen Inglis of Lakewood on May 16, 2021.

District Attorney King charged Ryan Scott Montoya (DOB 8/9/91) with multiple crimes, including Vehicular Homicide – DUI (F3), Vehicular Homicide – Reckless Driving (F4), Infliction of Serious Bodily Injury to a Vulnerable Road User (T1), Driving Under the Influence – Second Alcohol Related Offense (M), Careless Driving (T1), Improper Changing of Lanes (TIA), Passing on the Left Improperly (TIA), and Bicyclist or Other Authorized User in Bicycle Lane (TIA).

Mr. Montoya appeared in Jefferson County Court this morning and was advised of his charges. Chief Deputy District Attorney Brian Domingues will prosecute the case.
