The First Judicial District Victim/Witness Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Board is a body of five citizens that reviews grant applications for funding and awards contracts to service providers based on community needs. The contracts are financed through fines assessed to convicted defendants.
Members of the public can virtually attend board meetings.
