Since 1993, the First Judicial District Attorney’s Offices has joined victim service providers and local law enforcement agencies in honoring and celebrating the courage of victims of crime. Commemorating the conclusion of National Victims’ Rights Week, the event begins with a breakfast at the courthouse, followed by the Courage Walk and a brief ceremony at the Courage Garden. This year’s theme “Options, services and hope for crime survivors”, celebrates the progress made by those before us as we look to the future of Crime Victim Services that is even more inclusive, accessible and trauma informed.
