Members of the general public now have access to information disclosed by local law enforcement agencies concerning the credibility of officers.
Peace Officer Credibility Database
Beginning January 1, 2022, the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Database keeps record of all peace officers in Colorado and their actions involving:
- Untruthfulness
- Repeated failures of training requirements
- POST certification revocation
- Termination for cause
- Resignation or retirement while under investigation
- Active investigations that could impact certification
